Gainsborough House - Sudbury (Suffolk)

If you like history and art, you’ll love the Gainsborough House experience, the birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough. His former house is now a museum and gallery and situated in the town of Sudbury, Suffolk. The exhibition centre next door boasts a modern gallery, a gift shop for souvenirs, a lovely modern cafe (The Watering Place) all inter-linked with the house. The walled garden means you can sit and have coffee outside in the summer after you’ve viewed the latest exhibition at the exhibition centre. The house is a must-see, to experience where Thomas Gainsborough was born, lived and painted. A fascinating way to spend a couple of hours.
