Hylands Park Estate - Chelmsford

A huge historic 574 acre Country Park and Estate with lakes, formal gardens and a children’s play area.

A great country estate to go with family for a lovely walk, visit the children's play area or simply have a stroll through the formal gardens and have a coffee in the teashop.

The park offers something for everyone and we met family for a walk in the fresh air. Very dog friendly.

Although we didn’t do it, there are mapped walks. There are ancient woodlands, lakes, ponds and woodlands.

At the time of our visit Hylands House, a beautiful neo-classical villa (grade 2 house) was closed due to preparations for a foodie event the next day, so they hold events and music festivals throughout the year.

A great way to spend a couple of hours, meeting friends for a walk and coffee or time spent with the family or your furry friend.
