Rumblebees Bookshop and Cafe - Felsted Village
Rumblebees is a great bookshop and cafe in the heart of the village of Felsted. Considered our ‘local’ cafe. We love popping for a coffee.
You always get a warm welcome at Rumblebees. It’s one of those cosy places with a lovely relaxed vibe, with comfy chairs and sofa. You can chat to the locals while you drink coffee and eat cake (we’ve never been there and not spoken to either a local resident or met someone relaxing with a drink and a newspaper). You can always guarantee a nice chat if you want to engage with others. The cafe is very dog friendly and somewhere to relax and chill after a local dog walk.
The cafe has a musical theme throughout, with guitars on the wall, a selection of vinyl records and music posters on the walls. Rumblebees hold regular events and we often go to the open mic night (not to sing or play I might add) but to listen to the local talent from Felsted or around the area and there is a lot of talent locally, whether singers, guitarists or small bands! They also have monthly pop quiz nights and general quiz nights and run a book club too, so it has become a central hub for the community. A great way to get involved and meet new people.
So, if you’re in the area of Felsted, drop by and check it out. It has become a firm favourite with our friends and neighbours.
Oh, and I found out recently that they also have a bijou flat upstairs that they rent out as an Air BnB that is handy for those attending a wedding at the local Leez Priory or attending events at the local private Felsted School.
