Birdbrook Village

Today we stopped off at Birdbrook for a wander round this small quiet village (it’ not far from Great Yeldham). The village was small and compact with lovely thatched cottages, it had an interesting church with a wooden spire, I've not seen that before. Popped into The Plough pub for a quick drink. Bar staff were very friendly and told us that the pub had recently had a renovation and had re-opened in May 2025 under new management. Small but very cosy. A very low roof inside part of the pub! They have a couple of fireplaces, so it will be good for a winter visit too. We have often gone past the sign for Birdbrook, but this time we took the road to see what it was like! Small and quaint are the words I'd use.
