Tollesbury Marina

Tollesbury Marina is a firm favourite of ours. We go a couple of times a year. It feels like you’re abroad in the summer when you sit outside the Yacht Club having a drink, and hear the ‘tink tink’ of the masts of all the boats moored. A sound I love.

Such a tranquil place to visit. Lovely to walk around the salt marshes and follow the shoreline. If you just want to sit and have a drink, the Yacht Club, although it sounds grand, is very normal, welcoming and cooks lovely chips!

I personally love being around boats, so I’m in my element here. There is also a lovely vintage tearoom The Loft (tea by the sea) run by a lovely guy, who is very dapper! A brilliant selection of homemade cakes, some with ingredients gained from foraging. Love that!

A bit off the beaten track, but such a good find all those years ago, it’s definitely worth the effort to go there.
